Stars, Stripes & States: Flags of our Nation

The Museum of Western Art invites you to experience a breathtaking display of history and heritage! As you make your way up our long, winding driveway leading up to the entrance, you’ll be greeted by a well-spaced display of the 27 official flags that have flown since 1776. On the opposite side of the driveway, we will have a similar display of flags from every state, positioning them in the order they entered the Union. Each state flag may be sponsored and then given to the sponsor at the end of the display. The flag exhibit will be free to see; for those who want to visit the museum, a nominal fee is charged. All military – active and veterans – are always our honored guest. We believe this colorful salute to our nation’s past and present will have meaning to locals as well as the visitors we see from around the world.
